Google began rolling out a new messaging feature for local businesses via Google MyBusiness. This allows you to communicate with your customers directly from your Google listing, without worrying about next conversion stops such as clicking to your website or calling. This is on action only, so you can’t necessarily force a customer to read your welcome message with a pop up. If a mobile user finds your business they will be able to message you to your cell phone of choice via SMS.
This is a great opportunity for new potential sales, as you now can build your value proposition at the first stop.
